Just a little plea from your favorite basset Flash Man. I know mom has asked you this and you repeatedly tell her [hell] no, but since I'm cuter, I thought I would give it a try.
As you know, tomorrow is Basset Adoption Day at Pet Smart. There are several good looking bassets [disclaimer: not as good looking as me] who need homes.
Allow me to present my case. Please note my comments in red.
To your left is Annie. The Basset Rescue describes her as: "Annie came from an area shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. She is about 4 years old, spay, up-to-date on vaccinations. However, Annie tested positive for heartworms and will need to be treated. She is such a sweet basset and deserves to have a forever home where she will be loved and cared for -- even the staff at the vet's say she's the sweetest basset they have seen. She loves people and wants to be with you as much as possible. She is a happy little thing and is always wagging her tail." I'll be honest with you, I think Annie is pretty hot. Like smokin' hot. I definitely wouldn't mind having this cute thang around the house. And, she's older. I do like the cougars.
To your right is Homer. The basset rescue described him as: Homer came from a local shelter where his owner left him. Homer is about 2 year old, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He weighs about 50 lbs. Homer is a special little guy who needs a family who will understand that he is timid and unsure of himself. It will take a little time for him to adjust to his new home and to learn to trust people. We don't think he had much interaction with people or other dogs in his previous "life." He seems unsure of what's going on or what might happen to him. We feel that once he gets settled in his new home he will be a great companion dog. Homer is shy and unsure of himself. This means he will allow me to be the BOSS Dog. He's also fatter than me. I can use his size to my advantage. Once we're BFF's, he can help me gang up on LuLu and squash her like the pesky mosquito she is.

To your left is Elvis. This is what the rescue has to say about Elvis. "Elvis is all basset. He came from a local shelter where he was picked up as a stray and waited for his owner to claim him -- but no one came. He is about ~4-5 years old and weighs 49 lbs. He is microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He is a great age for a basset, still young enough to want to play but old enough to know when its time to "rest." Elvis likes other dogs and wants to run and play. He's friendly and outgoing and loves to get pets. Any dog named Elvis has to be bad-ass.

To your right is Bosley. The rescue says: "Bosley came from a local shelter where his owner had surrendered him. He is ~ 1.5 years old, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He weighs 38 lbs. Bosley is a talker and likes to tell you all about his day. He enjoys being with people and plays well with other dogs. He's a happy little guy and would do well in an active home. Bosley loves toys and walks and just being with you." Bosley is actually Lu's pick (how nice of me to give her some input). She said Bosley is foxy. Anything to keep Lu away from me would be great.
So, dearest Daddy Daniel, if you would allow us to add another basset (or two) to the fam we would be forever grateful. I doubt Mom would go for this, but I'm even willing to trade Lu in. We will be waiting patiently tomorrow to go to Pet Smart to pick out our new brother or sister (I'm thinking Annie all the way).
Hugs and Kisses,
FLASH
